1999 Long Island Ground-Water Level Synoptic

The U.S. Geological Survey will be conducting its annual synoptic ground-water level measurements on Long Island, New York from March 15 through April 30. The island-wide synoptic encompasses data collection from 518 observation, public-supply and industrial-supply wells screened in all primary aquifers on Long Island. A total of 145 wells will be measured in Kings and Queens Counties, 32 wells in Nassau County, and 341 wells in Suffolk County.
